It’s summer time!


Solar time, which corresponds with the solar plexus. 3rd Chakra.


This is a time of self expression.


How confident are you? Do you feel worthy?


Feelings of inadequacy may surface at this time. That is ok! Allow them to, your feelings are wonderful teachers, and if you pay attention they will nourish you with much growth and inner wisdom.


They say that you have to feel to heal. Yet many of us are afraid to feel, as we fear it may be too painful to handle.


Feeling IS painful, and you may experience some discomfort (physically, mentally and emotionally) as well as shed some tears. When you process your feelings, the reward of letting go, becoming lighter and feeling more present, happy and alive, surpasses the heavy and dark feelings of repressed emotion, by light years!


It is much simpler than you think to work through your emotions, but it takes time and commitment to yourself.


Here are a few tips on navigating emotional upheaval:


  1. When these uncomfortable emotions surface, recognize them and sit with them.

  2. Lay down in a quiet place. Close your eyes, and take a few deep breaths in and out.

  3. Scan your body and simply notice where you are feeling discomfort.

  4. Name your emotions if you are able (unworthiness, rejection, abandonment etc…) Put your hands on your heart and follow them back in time (as most repressed emotion stems from childhood).


Was there someone in your childhood that made you feel unworthy, or beg for attention? Was there someone who made you feel that you were never good enough?


Continue to breathe in and out, reflect, remaining open to all visions and thoughts. Become the observer, yet continue to pay close attention to your feelings. As you breathe out, allow those feelings of unworthiness or whatever uncomfortable feelings have risen up within you, let them dissolve as you notice yourself becoming more and more relaxed.


Remember this:


You are no smaller than anyone else.


You are worthy.


You are deserving of love.


Be kind with yourself, we all stumble and fall, but as long as we get up, that is all that matters. Mistakes happen, all of the time, and all of us make them.


Be compassionate, kind and patient with yourself, as you are with others.


Take time for yourself and for self-care. Whatever makes you feel comfortable and safe, do that.


Self LOVE, may you find it.
